Knicks Robinson sidelined

The tanking of the season by the New York Knicks continues tonight in Minnesota. Knicks guard Nate Robinson supposedly sprained his knee late in the fourth quarter against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night. The Knicks are truly starting to look like a team that is trying to lose as many games as possible to get the 2nd seed in the draft lottery. In the fourth quarter of last nights game the Knicks went with a lineup of Wilson Chandler, Renaldo Balkman, Randolph Morris, Mardy Collins and Robinson (before his supposed injury). Does anyone believe that group could even compete in the NCAA Tournament?

One reason for Robinsons “injury” could be that the Knicks are playing a team that is also lottery bound, Minnesota Timberwolves. Could this be Isiah trying to put his worst team forward against a team he’s competing for draft spots with? Now if Nate is miraculously healed and available against the New Jersey Nets on Monday, there would be no doubt this is a team intent on blowing the rest of a dead season.

As a Knicks fan, I truly hate this. This organization has been run into the ground ever since the trade of Patrick Ewing and the team just keeps digging its grave deeper and deeper, year by year. Now I know we can’t win and I also know one high lottery pick will not turn this team around, it’s going to take many, many years to do so. But tanking is never acceptable and one of the most deplorable things any organization can ever do. I’m ashamed to be a Knicks fan and this front office is just making me hate the NBA more and more. I’m going back to watch real basketball in the NCAA ranks, SCREW THE NBA!
