Cleveland Cavaliers center Zydrunas Ilgauskas will be out of the lineup for at least 2 weeks. Ilgauskas has been dealing with a strained back now for most of the season. “I’ve been fighting it for the past two or three months and it just got worse over the last few days,” Ilgauskas said. “I had a hard time getting out of the car [on Saturday]. Back pain is the worse pain there is.”

If the pain is getting that bad, right now would be the best time for Ilgauskas to take that needed time off. The Cavs are virtually guaranteed a playoff berth so why not take the time off and get fully healthy or as close to as he could. The Cavs have dealt with injury problems all season long. Daniel Gibson and Sasha Pavlovic are all hurt right now as well, and could also miss up to 2 weeks or more. “It sucks because we can’t get the team together,” Ilgauskas said. “We’ve been taking turns in or out of the lineup because someone’s getting hurt. Hopefully this is it.”

For Cleveland to mak a deep run in the playoffs this is going to have to be it, or they wont be going far at all.
