After 2 years, the Washington Redskins finally admitted they made a huge mistake and cut wide receiver Brandon Lloyd. In the big picture, Lloyd was just a part of the problem with the ‘Skins the past few seasons but he serves as an example of the teams flawed philosophy throw money at anyone. Lloyd received $10 million over his 2 seasons in Washington, and the team gave up 2 mid-round draft picks JUST to sign him. What did they get in return? 25 receptions 0 touchdowns.

For Lloyd, who knows he might be able to land a back-up role with the Chicago Bears next year who are just letting all their wide outs walk away. Bears’ offensive coordinator, Ron Turner was Lloyd’s coach back at the University of Illinois. If he could wind up healthy he might be able to help them out but Bears fans don’t expect anything big.

Now Redskins fans. Hopefully, and i stress hopefully this means Washington ownership and upper management have started to realize they can’t continue doing business like they have. Granted the team did make the playoffs last season but it wasn’t because of all the glamor moves they’ve made the past few seasons. It was because of a team playing all out with their hears for a fallen teammate, I don’t expect to see them anywhere near the playoffs next season they just aren’t that good.
