Giants Gibril Wilson may cash in

There is one person on the super bowl champion New York Giants that may cash in bigger then anyone else, and his name is not Tom Coughlin or Michael Strahan. His name is Gibril Wilson. Wilson is currently a restricted free agent, but a key piece in the Giants’ secondary, the one constant. He naturally finds ways to get the ball to get a tip, or just lay a vicious hit. He’s someone the Giants’ can’t afford to lose.
Now granted talks have gone no where between the two sides. But the NFL is nothing like the MLB, when that deadline is looming deals get done, and deals get done fast. There is extra incentive for the Giants to give Wilson what he wants. And the reason is the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles play a very similar style defense as the Giants, well actually the Giants play the similar style since Spags brought that up I95. But nonetheless, Wilson knows that system, so he could easily adapt to the Eagles. And with his age and talent, you know the Eagles are going to be going after him hard if he hits free agency. Imagine a safety tandem of Wilson and Brian Dawkins, I could already hear wide receivers on the ground crying in pain. It would also let Jim Johnson dial up even more of his trademark blitzes.
The Giants if they lost Wilson, there’s no way they can let him make his way to a divisional rival. That would just be a severe hit, it would be similar to when Antonio Pierce made his way over from Washington. You know that teams offense and defense so well, it could easily put u over the top in a game.
I’ve liked Wilson since he came to the team. He’s always made good plays, and now that he’s back to his natural position in the safety sets his performance rebounded this year. He’s a young guy who’s a veteran in that extremely young secondary. This team CAN NOT afford to lose his leadership and talent.
