The Oakland Raiders bad boy image has continued as QB Josh Booty was arrested early Wednesday morning. Booty isn’t on the official Raiders roster, but the last team he “played” with happened to be them, so we’ll plop him with them for the sake of this article at least.
But according to TMZ.com (Pretty impressive for him to make it there), Booty was arrested for DUI and even needed to be tased because he was so uncooperative. He was taken to an Orange County Jail to be booked and thats when he supposedly went ballistic towards law enforcement officials.
O.C. Sheriff’s spokesperson Jim Amormino told TMZ, “Booty was belligerent and uncooperative.” Amormino says his deputies used a taser — “less than lethal force” — to contain him. After being tased, Josh fell to the ground, hitting his head on the floor and cracking it open. He was taken to a hospital where he was stitched up.
For those who don’t remember Josh Booty, he was originally a member of the Florida Marlins back as a teenager. He then quit playing baseball to go back to football, where he became the QB at LSU. After that he had been drafted in 2001 by the Seattle Seahawks and then was last spotted playing in minicamps for the 2007 Raiders.
Josh is also the older brother of USC QB John David Booty. Hopefully John David has learned his lessons from his big bro’s mistakes.
